Probably the best pizzeria in Atlanta. Even better than Blue Moon and Bella's due to the variety of sauce (especially the spicy red sauce) and specialty pizzas. Lots of cool, nerdy comic book memorabilia on the inside as well.

since when is atl a university town. no sir bidurski. that's like calling jordan a good free-throw shooter. the atl is way more than a university town. you won't see anyone cramming for a final in lil 5 pts, that's for sure.

Everyone goes to Little 5 SmooveB. Chill out. Yeah, Savage Pizza is an awesome place. I'm surprised the official review didn't mention all of the cool comic book paraphenalia. I like Little 5 Pizza better, but to each his own.

This place is one of THE BEST pizza spots in Atlanta. Funky and cool setting, with an all hipster staff, and the cleanest restaurant bathroom I have ever seen. I had the Mexican Deluxe pizza and it was "Incredible". If you are looking for a great pizza place with exotic flavors, settings and great taste..this place is it

I love all the trendy folks that drop in from Buckhead for a "slice" of Little 5 - now known as the "Disney World" of Atlanta. "Hey, Honey look at all the 9 to 5 lawyers clad in leather on their Harley's over at The Vortex!" Even worse, the clowns with the EAV stickers on their hybrids... Lame, Gay...and Lame.

Wasn't Quite What I Expected: After reading their impressive web page, I was a bit dissapointed in the actual restaurant. The comic book theme of the restaurant, in my opinion, was a bit silly also, but one can expect just about anything in L5P. I decided to create my own pizza rather than ordering one of their pre-defined specialities; testing the limits so to speak. It was a very slow night and there were only two other customers there at the time I arrived, about 8:00 PM. The pizza was delivered without haste and I dug in. All toppings that I ordered (cheese X2, pepperoni X2, onions X2, sausage, mushrooms (appeared canned), and bananna peppers were quite tasty. As an added bonus I ordered the red pepper sauce in place of the usual tomato sauce, and it was quite good, also. The crust was crisp and yeasty, but the first thing I noticed was that is was way to thin to support my selections of toppings. I mostly had to eat the pizza with my fork. Unfortunately there were no other crust options other than thin crust. Also, the pepperoni was placed on top of the other toppings, which IMO is a drastic error, causing much of same to be crispy when eating. I have always judged a good pizza by the crust, the sauce, and the pepperoni. A good pepperoni to me is thick and slightly curled at the edges upon presentation, with the excess oil from same oozing into the rest of the pizza for that extra taste bonus. I will definitely go back to this place on my next visit, though. The atmosphere of the L5P area continues to becon.

Tasty with variety: I am not a pizza expert but I enjoyed the cajun inspired pizza I got with andouille sausage and shrimp. Many more to try as well as my own creations. I am a fan of thin crusts so this place was just up my ally.

Fun, funky pizza place with unique food: Savage Pizza has food unlike any other pizza place. They make all the sauces themselves, and there are six or so to choose from. The place is colorful and the comic book theme extends to figures dangling from the ceiling (and pages covering the bathroom walls...). It's kid-friendly, with a big stack of toys ready for playing. The outdoor patio is fun and great for Little Five Points people watching, but gets a little too cold in the winter. Back to the food -- they have sandwiches (try the meatball sub!) and calzones, lots of toppings, and great bread twists. There are about 5 or 6 nice wines to choose from, and they serve beer, soda and coffee, too. Then there's the cheesecake and midnight cake, and they deliver Ben & Jerry's. The best pizzas are the Cajun (spicy and meaty) and the Chicken Florentine. But you can't go wrong with any of the choices... They can get expensive but it's worth it.

What a great experience. We spent all day at the Braves game, saved some room for dinner and was rewarded with two of the best pies of pizza we have had in ages. Savage Pizza knows how to cook. Thanks for the great time.

Little 5 Points Pizza, which is located just a few doors down from Savage, is 30 times better.

great pies awesome sauce: if you are gonna have pizza in atlanta...go to Little 5 Points and ask any passing freak where savage pizza is..because if you are in L5P you are close...this isnt rocket science but here is the skinny...they make their sauces fresh everyday...nothing generic will be found on any of their pies...the dough is nice and airy no as good as mellow mushrooms crust but their ingredients are superior...the price is also kind the only flaw savage has is its no smokin policy .Peace..T

It's funny how these reviews and classifications come about, and it always seems to beg the question, "Say's who?!" I certainly hope they don't get paid for these opinions, simply because I refuse to believe they exhausted the options available to make a well informed decision. True, we all have our preferences, and our palettes may vary in refinement, and this is inherently a completely subjective area of expertise, etc. However, these surveys don't seem to take into account certain facts: Have they won awards and acclaim from local reviewers? Have they consistently risen above others according to their track record? Is the criteria purely culinary, or does it include extraneous details like location, hours, beverage selection, demographic, etc.? Now, taking nothing away from Savage, they have a decor that is unique, a small but quaint patio, and a solid reputation for pizza. But as long as these opinions are getting thrown around, I personally believe that Cameli's Pizza (by the Kroger off Ponce) is superior across the board. First, better quality ingredients, better selection of ingredients, a wider array of dishes to choose from, and a more authentic taste. Second, a bigger patio, more seats inside, a full bar, and entertainment like a juke box and games, not to mention DJ'd events. Third, they are family owned and operated by people who bear the last name: Cameli. Not to say that qualifies the food, but they are Italian, and carry that tradition on in the food they make. But I beg you, whoever is reading this, don't believe me! Go and compare for yourself, because that is the only way you can truly know, and there will never be a review or award that can tell you as much as your own experience. -Ciao

Savage - Delivery: I think better than the pizza I ordered was the service. I'd not looked at the website before ordering so I really had no idea about what I was getting myself into. The guy who took my order was friendly and helpful... not only that but my food got to my place in RECORD time. I ordered a calzone and the chicken ceaser salad (which was recommended to me by the person who took my order), the salad was AMAZING, I really suggest trying it!

Best Pizza in Atlanta: This thin, cracker like crust is second to none here in Atlanta. The homemade sauces only compliment it. Located in Lil '5 Point, you can get a good meal with a circus sideshow thrown in for free.

L5P's is a cool place to hang out. for young eccentrics.. and normally when I'm in the area I eat at Savage Pizza even though there's Fellini's (on Ponce) and L5P (near Euclid) pizza as well... they are pretty good too. I always go to Savage their wait staff is nice and mellow ... the pizza is good and so are their calzones and subs. I recommend a veggie sub for vegetarians or a bolognese pizza for newbies/// simply because the red wine infused sauce has many layers of flavor. Bolognese: red wine marinara italian sausage red onions and sun dried tomatoes. If the weather is nice sit out on the patio and chill out.

Their pizza is a great mix of traditional Italian and American. Non-pretentious and yummy. And the decor caters to the comic-book geek in me.

Regularly rated one of the city's best pizza restaurants they have an extensive variety of pizzas and make-your-own-combination calzones. It's not very big and gets crowded on weekends.
