Very tasty pizza: They serve a great NY-style pizza. The crust is crisp and the sauce is sweet. It could use a bit more sauce for my taste, but still very good. They sell pizza by the slice except during dinner. The service is friendly--counter service, table service, or at the outside window.

Love Homeslice it rivals some of the best places in New York, Boston and PA (IMHO) and they have awesome meatball subs!!!!! Atmosphere is cool and staff is nice and friendly would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for some good food.

Having moved here from New Jersey, pizza (and the Yankees) were the only thing I missed. This comes as close as I have seen in Austin. The wait is long but worth it, the atmosphere with the tacky interior is like an old pizza place back east. Well worth the trip if for nothing else to remember the old days.

My husband and I love this pizza. Weâ??ve eaten at the restaurant a good 6 times. Yesterday for lunch we ordered a med pizza w/ mushrooms, a side salad followed by 2 lone stars. By 4 oâ??clock we were on our death bed. My husband and I had food poisoning. Our symptoms were severe abdominal cramps, diarrhea, weakness and extreme nausea and vomiting. After googling types of food poisoning later learned it had to be from the mushrooms. We are still weak, nausea and vomiting. We both missed work today and will make a trip to the doctor. At this point I donâ??t think re visiting the restaurant is worth it. Be aware of the mushrooms and we hope everyone from yesterdayâ??s lunch service is ok.

slow go: decent pizza awful service to go wated 15 minutes for a slice of pizza.

4 1/2 STARS: The New York Style pizza comes really close to the real deal. This is a fantastic place for an after work slice of pizza and glass of house wine. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Not the best: Okay pizza, but you can do much better within 5 minutes drive of Homeslice. Certainly not worth a 20 minute wait.

Great pizza, some of the very best! However, always WAY too crowded, they staff is ALWAYS overwhelmed, staff sometimes acts too cool to work at a pizza joint. I always get irratated with how difficult it is to get a pizza from there, but once I bite into it, it is always worth it.

The best pizza in Austin. (Which ordinarily wouldn't be saying much- most of the pizza in Austin is bland and awful but HOME SLICE totally makes up for everyone else!) Warm, gooey and FRESH GARLIC! Lots of the classic toppings and lots of unusual ones (like the fresh garlic!) This is the real deal. And they give you sweet tarts at the end instead of mints. Very fun. YUM! Go there!

Great slice of pizza: We go there for lunch and it does get packed at times, but well worth it. Love that garlic.

Great pizza, great place. Wait staff is cool, yet attentive. Usually a wait, but if all you want is a slice, go to the window and you will usually be served quickly. Worst part about them is they are closed Tuesday's which is hard to remember.

Good NY style pizza: I have had a difficult time finding NY style pizza in Austin. Fortunately, several places, including Home Slice, are filling that niche. The crust is thin and foldable and the sauce is good, so it approaches the NY style ideal and is good for Austin. If you are in the area, try it out.

East Coast Style Pizza: Best pizza thus far outside of not living on the East Coast (i.e. NY, NJ, PA). The majority of pizzas that come out are flavorful but you have to get the right person behind the oven. Some tend to over do it on the oregano.

austin loves it!: This is new york style pizza done in a BIG Texas way! It's huge slices are covered in juicy toppings. Sometimes I wish they put on more sauce, but honestly no complaints! The atmosphere inside is so cute, or you can pick up a slice or a whole pie. Check the bullitin board for things to do. Park in the back. YUM

Great food! Kid friendly. I really like that they match up your wine with your meal. One of the best in Austin!

This place is just alright. The pizza is kinda expensive kinda dry and not real flavorful. For New York style I prefer East Side Pies and on ScrumptiousChef's rec Nikki's in the Dobie Mall has become my favorite for both taste and price.

The pies can be inconsistent though. Depending on busyness I've had my pizza overcooked until it was too crispy. Too crispy to fold. That's bad. But management comped us that pizza so I'm not upset. Other times the pizza has been...

Went for the first time even thought I've lived in Austin almost all my life. I can't believe I never actually ate here - I've been missing out big time!

Homeslice makes a really good pizza. But when I went with Seth of Year of the Pizza I ended up sampling anchovies. Anchovies are salty and hairy and totally turn my stomach but I hadn't had one in a while so thought I would give it a...

Great little place for pizza by the slice or pie. My friends and I ventured over here after we were told by the hostess at Guero's it would be an hour wait to get a table. They are located across the street from the Mexican restaurant. Once we...

We had a caprese salad and margherita pizza. It's hard to go wrong with a caprese salad and Home Slice didn't disappoint. The salad was served on a small pizza tray and with it came delicious little twists of bread made from pizza dough...

Definitely one of my favorite restaurant spots in Austin. This place always draws a crowd. You can order slices and pick up outside at the window but I recommend getting a table inside.... The atmosphere is of a unique and trendy pizza place. They don't have the fastest service but if you don't mind waiting then go here for delicious pizza subs and salad!

We went on a Thursday evening and the wait was about 20 minutes. Very worth it. First of all the wonderful smell of an old school pizza pie parlor permeates the street that will no doubt lure you in. There is a bar inside to keep you satisfied while you wait for your table. Our party ordered the classic Pepperoni & Sausage and their specialty Margherita. Fantastic!! Now they claim to have New York style pizza and I have yet to have that pleasure to compare that to BUT I can say that this is the best pizza I have had in a LONG time!!! Also the waiter was extremely nice and attentive! If you love the Austin vibe and can appreciate good pizza then this place is a must!

This place gets packed for dinner but now with the side shop open you can still grab your pizza in less time and make your tummy happier much quicker. I really like the interior of More Home Slice spacious and tall compared to next door...
