For years I have heard about Flying Pie as being the best so my expectations were fairly high when I went there. YUK! The employees were not friendly, well groomed, particularly helpful for a first-time customer, nor efficient. I ordered two pizzas which were small and quite expensive and almost all dough. The seasoning was not pleasing oh and did I mention that the place had only a couple of other customers and still we had to wait for 45 minutes? The restaurant is dirty, fixtures shabby, chairs uncomfortable, service practically non-existant. This place has been around for a long time but has a lot of competition from other places with really great pizza at reasonable prices. I would never go there again.

I love Flying Pie, especially the one on Fairview. The food is great, a great beer selection, and great people.

Awesome pizza made and served by a fun and eclectic group of people! Very good beer selection (the beers on tap selection rotates often) as well. Both locations are highly recommended.

You could not drag me back!!!: The person at the counter had holes in his shirt and kept raising his arm to show his pit hair. The price was way too high. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait for one pizza(?). It actually was 40 minutes, there we only 5 other tables bieng used . I asked for a beer but never got it. Not once did anyone one ask how the pie was. I saw what I belive to be an off the clock employee walk behind the counter and help herself to a slice of pizza, during a conversation with the counter person. I feel if I am paying $25.00 for a medium pizza I should get some service. I am very disappointed with the attitude of this business and would recomend to anyone to choose one of the franchise pizza parlors.

Sorry, your pizza just doesn't rate with the best Chicago deep dish pizzas like Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, and Uno's. You guys have a decent marinara sauce (original Italian pizzas didn't even have sauce) You need to learn how to make a good deep dish crust. Your crust is one-dimensional (very doughy). A great crust for me is crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with great flavor. Ultimately it's the crust and balance with the the seasonings and quality toppings that make a pizza great for my tastes. Fortunately, Boise has a few good Neapolitan and NY Pizza Parlors, but no great Chicago -style joints

What an institution!: You cannot beat the pie when it comes to pizza in Boise, or, pretty much anywhere else for that matter. They are so creative with their pizza. Make sure to check out gourmet night.

I've been a regular for 20+ years. It's the best!: Best pizza around. Great brews. Service is somewhat lacking, however, they always make it right with you. Give this place a shot.

This place has the best pizza ever!: Everything about their pizza is awesome. It is a boisterous, noisy atmosphere, but I really like that. They also have all kinds of toppings you won't find at other places like shrimp, zucchini, habañero peppers, salmon. They also have a great variety and sauces and a long list of beers, including some they brew themselves. If you're ever in Boise, I would definitely recommend eating here.

PIZZAS ARE A FLYING: It was great fun and very great place to be. One of there cooks Bradi was so much fun and watching her flip that pizza was great. It really was a good place to eat.

The Best: Flying Pie is the best pizza I have had to date - including many major metro areas. It's a fun, old school pizza place that my wife and I go to frequently. When we want a pizza but don't feel like going out this is where we order delivery pizzas.

Magnificent! Don't miss Tuesdays...: I've tried pizza all over the world (even in Italy) and none is as good as Flying Pie in Boise. Tuesday evenings are the best: Gourmet Pizza Night! It's all-you-can-eat salad, breadsticks, pizza, and a dessert pizza. Their pizza selections are wonderful! I like the Bermuda Triangle (3-onion) and the Garlic Chicken pizzas the best, but the Broccoli & Tater is growing on me! I make a point to try at least one bite of every flavor offered at Gourmet Pizza Night, and I'm often pleasantly surprised that I enjoy pizzas that I normally would not have ordered. Prices are VERY reasonable and the staff is top-notch!

Excellent pizza lots of good toppings choices. Fairly good service but a little slow. The crust is really good and the toppings are fresh.

The selection is not that great but the beers they have are decent. They have the bud/coors/PBR but also Moose Drool Seirra Nevada and someother microbrews. They even have a seasonal house ale that changes a few times a year. The pizza is pretty good albiet a little greasy but this place was voted the best pizza parlor in Idaho three times. The best part about this place is the atmosphere though it's veryy silly and even the bathrooms are all decked out crazy with eclectic things hanging everywhere. Kinda a hip cool college hang out. A really great place to dink a beer.

Tasty. It takes a long time to get your pizza but it's well worth the wait I guess a lot of others agree because it's the long line of patrons that create the delay. Well that and your freshly made pizza cooking to perfection. :)
