Pat's has the best thin crust pizza in Chicago, and is only 2nd only (in my opinion) to Imo's Pizza in St. Louis. I just moved to Logan Square from right up the street from Pat's, so unless they deliver out there, Pat's will be truly missed and an occasional treat...

I have been a loyal Pat's customer for years, but as a result of today's experience I will NEVER frequent the establishment again. I called and placed an order for delivery. To be nice & give the delivery guy a heads up, I added that Lincoln Avenue was closed for TWO BLOCKS for a street festival (because it was two blocks between the restaurant & where I wanted the pizza delivered further north on Lincoln). Ten minutes later I get a call & they tell me that they will not deliver my pizza. When I inquired why, they informed me that Lincoln was closed. I told them, as I did originally, that it is only for two blocks & that they could just go around. They say ok and hang up. Ten more minutes, a second call. They won't deliver the pizza. This time it's because there is no parking. On an aside, I was ordering from work where we have a PARKING LOT they could use (which I pointed out to the guy on the phone). Still the answer is no. At this point I'm upset & opt to take my business elsewhere. I don't know who's running the show over there, but they are obviously incompetent. I mean, Lincoln isn't the ONLY street in Chicago & it's not that difficult to figure out how to get around a two block detour, especially if frequently deliver in the area (which they do). So f *ck em, I will order pizza from Ranalli's or Ofame from now on. Both of whom have GREAT pizza and Ranalli's had no problem delivering my pizza this evening.

First up on my list of places to dispel that rumor is Pat's Pizza. I grew up on the tavern style pizza because I grew up near Pat's pizza. Once located on Sheffield near Belmont Pat's has changed addresses over the years but the pizza... - blogspot.com - Nov-16-2008

My office used to cater pat's pizza in for lunches and it is not good. The pizza is very bland and extremely greasy. I've heard from others that going to the actual restaurant is a lot better but I don't recommend their catering. - cbs2chicago.com - Oct-22-2008

The sausage which I believe was homemade was pretty good but I didn't get too much of it on my slice. I was underwhelmed with the crust which was not as flavorful as the thin and I didn't like the texture. I like pan pizza crusts to... - chicagopizzaclub.com - Apr-17-2009

Pat's Pizza in Lakeview. Best thin crust pizza in the city in my opinion. Very thin and crispy. Good sit-down area. - lthforum.com - Jan-28-2006

Ask for it extra crispy. The service is normally fast for delivery and the quality is high. You can't go wrong with their entree list either. Had a lasagna the other night that took an hour to eat and every bite was a taste orgasm. - metromix.com - Oct-21-2007

We have been going to Pat's every Friday night since our son was 9 months old. He is almost 2 now. We have loved this place but have to post a negative review due to our experience last night. We had grandma and uncles in for a celebration dinner and we went to Pat's because the pizza is usually good and we thought it was child friendly. We arrived a little later than usual - 6 pm - but still managed to get through our meal quickly. Any parent with a 2 year old knows you don't linger over a late dinner. It was about 7:15 and we were almost done with our meal. We were waiting for our coffee and dessert when the owner came to our table and said she had received complaints about our child and could we please leave! That's right - the owner kicked out our party of 6 that was about to leave anyway and blamed it on the child. So not only did they kick us out but they insulted our child in the process. This place is casual it was only 7:15 in the evening and our child is a normal 2 year old.... - NeighborhoodMom - May-02-2009

I must say the Pat's pizza really had me drooling! :chef: ;D :chef: I'd say the cheese on Pat's looks like it at least incorporates some cheddar. - pizzamaking.com - Jul-20-2009
