One of my top choices in town, for vegetarians or not. It's hard to find local, healthy and vegetarian where you leave feeling good about what you just put in your body. I've enjoyed everything I've tried from the menu. And the specials board always offers new creative choices as well. The soups are fantastic and the Sunday brunch is great, it's nice to go somewhere that you don't have to pick the few choices off the menu that you can have as a vegetarian. Although I'd recommend it to non vegetarians as well, fresh, healthy and tasty is good for all. Side note if you are short on time, beware it is a small restaurant and if it gets busy it simply takes longer to get in and out.

Service and specials can be hit or miss here. The dreadlocked ultra alternative tortured artist staff can have a very hippy approach to everything here but they always offer 4-6 soups that vary from good to excellent. Soups change daily. - cmhgourmand.com - Feb-11-2007

And if you're a tofu person you'll love and lust after the tofu scramble a salty tangy mess of marinated tofu and whatever you'd like on top: Broccoli mushroom and provolone sure does the tasty trick. - evite.com - Dec-13-2005

My wife and I are regular vegetarian diners. We have patronized Whole World before and enjoyed it. A couple of Saturdays ago we decided to take our kids there for lunch after shopping at the Clintonville farmers' market. First of all the server seemed dismayed that we brought our children into their establishment. I mean God forbid that we bring our kids out to eat with us we even bought them an entree so they weren't just eating things out of our bag. A couple with a child came in right before us and they got their food within minutes of ordering. We ordered two broccoli burgers and a grilled cheese for the kids to split. The food took longer than 20 minutes to get to our table. The couple that came in ahead of us was leaving before we got our lunch. When it finally did arrive with no appology or explanation as to why it took so long it was awful. The burgers were very dry. We've gotten them before and they were very moist and tasty. The "grilled" cheese was obviously baked and... - iamhalloween - Jun-01-2008

I was in town from Cincinnati for a Crew game and was looking for some vegan friendly breakfast. We looked online found Whole World and decided to try it out. I ordered some vegan scramble with an awesome selection of vegetables and some veg sausage that I assume they make there. Everything was EXCELLENT. The server and cook were super laid back but service was still prompt despite being fairly busy on a Sunday morning. The music from the kitchen ranged from Ladytron to some obscure indie rock I've never heard of but it was just right. I left happy and full with a veg molasses cookie to snack on (which was also fantastic). The problem is that I'm going to have to drive two hours from the 'nati at least monthly to visit this fabulous establishment. - tajai - Sep-19-2011

So far I've been to Northstar Whole World Cafe in the 3200 block of N High Noodles & Company and Betty's Food & Spirits in the Short North neighborhood. All have been phenomenal! - urbanohio.com - Jun-16-2009
