Best Pizza in Denver: Wonderful crust. Fresh ingredients. Try the EBA or the Veggie!

my favorite pizza in Denver: Nicolo's is my favorite pizza. It's a hole in the wall (strictly take-out/delivery, no dine-in) but it's scrupulously clean (unlike some competitors) and the pizza is delish. Their pizza crust is unusual, sort of like a homemade sourdough. They also deliver Italian pasta dishes, salads, drinks, and ice cream.

Best pizza in denver: Very much an ole hole in the wall, but clean. The people who work there are unusually nice and friendly for a busy pizza joint. Every time I am there they ask if I want anything to drink. I really like the crust (fresh and chewy). The sauce has a great flavor. You have to try Nicolos!

At their best they come close to Chicago pizza. Decent crust although Chi-Style would be thinner with no "bones". Very good sausage. Good sauce. Inconsistent. Worth a try. Denver is a wasteland for pizza and most other foods, so this may be your best bet. Better than Anthonys which some rate highly.

worst pizza in denver: We ordered it on sunday afternoon. It took over an hour to get here and the pizza was not even cooked enough. It was doughy, the crust was terrible and dry, and there was too much sauce on it.

best pizza ever!!!: the crust is awsome!! Not too greasy just right!! The sauce is wonderful!! And if you like Chocolate you will LOVE LOVE LOVE the choclate cannolis!!!

Liked the fact that I could order seperate toppings foe each side of pizza. Loved the ham pinapple and jalapeno pizza. Had nice variety of entrees other than just pizza. Subs were also good. Food was delivered fast and hot. Soon after first order prices were raised quite a bit. Will continue to eat at this pizzeria.

Ever drive by Nicolo's newly expanded space on 13th and notice that no one is in there? There is a reason for that!The space is nice but they don't know their own identity. It is not full service AT ALL but it's a restaurant/bar. You have certain expectations at a restaurant/bar that someone will come and take your order get your drinks clean your table provide you with plates & silverware etc. Not this place.I went up to the counter to order my beer and a couple of waters since they don't come to me they gave me these 6 oz dixie cups to fill up at the soda fountain. Is this a bar/restaurant or a fast food joint? They brought the pizza out which is pretty good I asked for salt and pepper and silverware. Too much to ask? Apparently because she rolled her eyes walked over to the soda fountain grabbed me some paper plates silverware (not plastic) and salt & pepper tossed in on our table and walked away. I felt like I REALLY put her out by asking for the necessities. Again ...

This place is frustrating. We've had some decent pizzas here that can be fairly close to real Chicago style thin crust (even though they insist on cutting it in pie slices rather than the traditional Chicago Style squares) and then we've had many bad pizzas here. Lately they've been more bad than good. You can also get friendly service one day and then some condescending jerk-O the next. You have to order extra cheese or there is never enough same with the sausage you hope you get 1 piece per slice on a regular order. One day the crust will be good the next it will taste and feel like cardboard. And never have them deliver. I think their

About the only nice things that I can say about this place is that the service is friendly and they're fast but if you feel like eating then try another place.
