Frankies two- I wonder what happened to Frankie's One???????

This has got to be about the best pizza I have ever ate. Their Italian Beef is just excellent. I used to eat there all the time. Mr. Beef & Pizza was also another good place, used to go there as a kid. Top notch pizza at Frankie's. I live in MN now and they have papa murphy's. Poor example of Chicago style pizza there. Makes me sick to be honest! I will always be a true chicago fan. Gene and Jude's hotdogs (vienna beef) is also a great place to go, that is in River Grove, Illinois. Good times, I miss them.

Pat Johnson The BEST Pizza I have ever eaten. We use to order from here all the time and now we live in Minnesota near Fargo and missing my home town and Frankies Two more than I can say. Their Italian Beef is excellent and wish I could have one right now. The service is great and the establishment is relaxing and fun. So if you are look for a great place to eat go here. I do when I come home to Des Plaines

I haven't been to frankies sence 1979. Their italin beef was so juicy the bottom of the bag would leak out. Wish I could be there now. Tried to make them in Florida but just not the same.

I haven't been to Des Plaines in a number of years, but the original Frankie's (named for Frank Sinatra, I believe) was on Oakton Street. It was much smaller--more like a drive-in/carry-out than a sit-down place. Frankie's Two also started out as a sandwich shop, albeit with a lot more seating. Somewhere along the line, it became more of a sports bar. Totally different atmosphere, same great food. Their Italian beef sandwich was always a favorite of mine.
