I went there twice. I regret it and won't ever go back there for 2 reasons: #1 BOTH times I went my order was messed up...how they managed to do that twice, i don't know. Even after fixing my order I didn't think the taste was that great. This alone is reason for a 1-star rating. #2 I don't recommend any minorities go there. It's located in one of the most diverse cities yet it's mostly a white crowd and they glare any1 down thats not white. Not just my own experience, however I had my car egged by guests standing outside the restaurant my 2nd time I went there, also a friend of mine had his tires slashed in their lot. It's a lil ol' pizza place for hilly billy bob. Even if you're white...do you wana risk your car being egged or tires getting slashed while your enjoying your dinner??

I rank it 2nd...: I rank it only to Pizzapopolus. Still a great pie, but check out the home made pastas and meatball! To die for YUM!

Best pizza ever!: I have tried a lot of pizza all over the Country but nothing compares to a Buddy's Pizza! My mother moved 2 hours away from and will come out just to get her favorite Buddy's Pizza

A CLOSE Second, to Best Detroit Pizza: I've got to say, that while not the BEST pizza in Detroit, Buddy's is still a good pizza, and you may appreciate making the trip to go to the ORGINAL location (trust me it's worth it). They aren't as good as they used to be, but still slinging out some of the most tastey pizzas to come out of the city. The food is awesome, and there has always been good service. The overall feel to it, is pretty laid back, a nice family or hanging out spot. If you want a nice spot to sit down and kick it with some good pizza, this is a really good choice for it.

Great food after a Loins WIN: The pizza was the best Ive had in a long time. Plenty of cheese, not too much sauce, and the edges were all crispy....WOW. I will definately be back. (even if its not Free!)

Detroit Style Pizza: Detroit style pizza is square, with thick crust, pepperoni under the cheese, and some sauce on top. Buddy's does it best.

The best pizza place in the city: This is my #1 when it comes to pizza. The best pie for the buck.

The best pizza ever: I would highly recommend Buddy's pizza to everyone who can get to one their version of deep dish pizza is out of this world. i just hope they open up more locations so everyone can experience sheer pizza heaven.

Pizza, average at best. Service, below par. I ordered water as my beverage, the server decided I was cheap and the service showed it!! The server did not ask me or my friend how was the food or if we wanted more water. When the server came back to pick-up the credit card receipt after I signed it, she put her nose up in the air when she seen the $2.00 tip I left her for a $20.00 meal. Under normal servce I leave at least a 20% tip! She was lucky I left her 10%!!! THAT WAS TOO MUCH!

Buddys has the best pizza in the midwest and has mantained this standard for over 50 years,they have excellent soups and salads also.I have had pizza all over the USA and Canada and personaly have not seen anyone be as consistent with greats tasteing pizza with always fresh topping and the best cheese ever. A Cut Above the Best: Buddy's makes the greatest pizza on earth!! Everything about their pizza's design is delicious. From the crisp outer edges of the crust to the flavorful sauce placed atop your slice, this pizza is number one. The dough is a well balance of crisp and chewy with the sauce tasting like it was simmering in Grandma's sauce pan all day. Trust my remarks, you won't find anything better around the world!!

Buddy's is the Best: I Love buddy"s quaint fun atmosphere, the pizza is like no other, and prices are great. Awesome family fun service and plenty to drink.

Delectable Pizzas: Buddy's Pizza is scattered around the metro Detroit area, all offering similar items. Even after visiting the typical pizza giants like Chicago and New York, I have to say that Buddy's Pizza in Detroit offers the best pizza I have ever tasted. The other items are also good, but the pizza is like nothing else out there. The ingredients are fresh and the sauce is perfectly tangy, but not overpowering. The cheese is a special blend from Wisconsin. These high quality ingredients make the final product exemplary.

As a teenager this was my favorite place to go to for Pizza. Back than (30 years ago) there was less than a handful of Buddy's and this place was considered the Best Pizza Parlor in the State! The decor was typical Italian. The food was their own noone made pizza like Buddy's. Although they are still there the area is considered run down.

Buddy's antipasto salad is nearly as popular as the pizza. Pastas sandwiches minestrone and burgers round out the menu. While you wait for your pie have a couple of chicken tenders. We've found none better.
