I've eaten Amici's food twice since I've moved to Ft.Myers. The first time I had two slices of thier cheese pizza and an order of garlic bread. Fantastic. The pizza was true to their claimed east coast heritage, and the garlic bread was perfectly done.
The second time I ordered cheese stix and wings. The chesse sticks were probably the best I've had in a long time. (credit the cheese)The Marinaria however is a waste of a cup, think red water soup as opposed to a flavorful sauce. The wings, which on my first visit were talked up, were a disappointment. The texture and doneness were both to my liking, but the lack of sauce and heat for a "hot" order really let me down. The skin was crunchy, the meat pulled easily from the bone, and the wings were plenty big enough, they just didn't do it for me.
Side not: Personality behind the counter could use some minor improvement.
