I am an original New Yorker and thought that I had to give up good pizza. Then I discovered Pinocchio's Pizza #2 while visiting Gilroy, CA. Every slice is like biting into my childhood. Fantastic sauce, the highest quality cheese and, most of all, the crust is a work of art. Try the Pizza Margarita; fresh basil, tomatoes and roasted garlic or Tony's Special; pepperoni, Italian sausage & roasted garlic ~ mmm Delicious! They also have pizza by the slice. This is indeed a real 'joint'. A small whole in the wall with simply the best pizza in the West. This place is family owned and operated by Tony, Julie & Gino. Great service from the friendly owners! Indeed simply the best pizza. They are closed on Mondays.

We visited Pinocchio's #2 Pizza for the first time yesterday and were very pleased with both, the pizza and the cleanliness of the establishment. We ordered a half Classic White Garlic Chicken and half Julie's Classic Margherita. The Classic White had no sauce, but was delicious drizzled with olive oil, fresh herbs from their garden, spices, tender roasted cloves of garlic--for all you garlic lovers, chicken and mozzarella cheese. The Julie's Classic had a wonderful tangy tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese topped with roasted garlic, fresh basil and Roma tomatoes, also from their garden. This pizza is New York style with a light thin crust, but they can knead up a thick crust for all you Chicago style pizza lovers. There is entertainment for young kids and older kids as well, with a TV, pinball machine and two other arcade games, as well as two poker machines at opposite ends of the room. A magazine rack provides some reading while you wait. The service was great! They were happy to make changes for our special request and were very friendly. Aside from the importance of food taste, the establishment was very clean, and that IS important!

I am a recent transplant to Gilroy. A week or so ago I had a Pizza "Jones," so thought I would give it a try and low and behold ..... I LOVED it!! I took it to go as I am new in town and was by myself. The Pizza itself was wonderfull and the price was right!! By by Round tabble hello Pinocchios!! Also I just want to add that it seemed like a nice family place I might be making an assumption here but I believed the mom was in the back the dad and son were at the register and making pies... a nice family place .... I like to support these types of businesses. The only negative thing I have to say is there closed on Mondays.

I don't know what Dave is talking about, but the food here is amazing! The pies are huge! A large pizza should serve 2-3 hungry folks and the giant should serve 4-5 by my estimate. We've never been able to eat an entire pizza in one sitting - we ALWAYS have leftovers. My wife and I love the calzone the most. We find that a small calzone will serve both of us just fine and not leave us hungry at all. This New York Style (this crust and big, floppy slices) pie is incredible. The sauce isn't too heavy or overwhelming, the ingredients taste fresh and are perfectly cooked. They have a large selection of drinks available. Beer, wine, bottled beverages of some of the best brands out there (and not just Coke & Pepsi).

LOVE LOVE this pizza. I am very picky about my pizza and this is the best. Fresh toppings and great crust. This is the only pizza my husband and I agree on.

This is by far the best pizza place!! Great taste, cooked to order, very friendly staff, exceptional customer service.....we have gone to Pizza Hut, Straw Hat, Mountain Mikes, Round Table, and none of them compare to the quality of Pinocchios!! Absolutely LOVE them!! If you haven't tried it, you definitely need to! You won't be disappointed!

Do not go to Pinocchios Pizza #2, My family and I decided to eat there and boy did we make a mistake! We ordered The Sicilian it wasn't even that big there was 4 of us, so we had to order another medium pizza(it was another $8 or $9 bucks) and a 2 litter soda(Pepsi) it came out to about $36 bucks we definitely could have gotten more for our money, and the quality was not worth the price( it wasn't that good) and to top everything off the 2 litter he gave us was expired. I tried to inform him that he sold me a year and a half old soda and showed him the experation date on the bottle, and he( I found out that his name is Tony) told me that Pepsi does it in reverse Pepsi puts the day it was made on the bottle!?? It's totally not worth going there(we spent damn near $40 dollars). If you want to try some excellent pizza check out Chicago's Pizza at least it's worth the price there!

Excellent Pizza!: We were looking a long time for a pizzeria that makes pizza the european style like we were used to from Germany. This is it! The pizza tastes excellent. Good for take out - the ambiente could be more sophisticated.

Read the rest of the reviews for more information. Enough 5 stars to tell you what's up, but I'll throw my 5 stars in too! Best pizza in Gilroy, hands down! (Bonus for being a local family business!)
