LOVE IT: I had the pork sandwich and it's just mouthwatering... Oh and I also had the cheese butter bread and it's just dripping with cheese and butter. If you go to honolulu you have to check this place out.. It's a great local place..

It is a must stop while in Waikiki. Great food and drinks. If you're up to the task order the "fish bowl"!

A dive is a dive: Not much to this place. Its way out of the way and there is hardly anywhere to park. Pizza is just ok. Sanwiches the same. Garlic cheese balls are pizza dough deep fried ...that's as good as it gets for this place. And if you are starving a couple of these may go down ok...then the gagomagnifyer kicks in.

Food, including pizza, is a matter of personal preference - and that is the only way I could possibly understand the one poor review. But first, be advised the location has changed about 1.5 miles to Paiea St right by the airport - lots of parking, a bit more seating (but still small). Also now has air conditioning which I appreciate. No longer a hole in the wall, but still decorated with a local flair. Pizza is outstanding. Sandwiches are huge (makes two meals for me). Garlic cheeseballs should not be missed. The also have real milkshakes now. This is one of three places I always recommend to visitors. I like it enough to have eaten there more than once a week for months at a stretch.

Fantastic! The sumo pizza is almost obscene! So much flavor. Love the BBQ pork sandwich and my favorite pipeline sandwich is portugese sausage/pepperoni/bacon although I can only eat it twice a yr. Every person I have recommended it to has added it to their list of sandwiches to eat.

Big Kahuna's vs. Magoo's: Battle of the best pizza on the island!! My edge would have to go to Kahuna's with the assortment of toppings (like Kalua Pig)and their HUGE sandwiches-takes up a whole plate lunch container! However, pizza sauce definitely goes to Magoo's The Magoo's combo is a sure-fire winner anyday!! Magoo's wins on convenience seeing that they have more than one location-University, Waikiki, Aiea....Big Kahuna's is located in an out of the way spot on Mapunapuna.

Da Big Kahuna's in Honolulu: If you ever get to Honolulu, you must try this place. It's not fancy at all but has nostalgic memoribilia, and the most awesome garlic cheese balls you will ever eat! I have never come across anything even close to these. I actually crave them from time to time, but tough luck for me. I am just glad I was able to eat there as many times as I did. Can't wait to go back!

I went to Big Kahuna's at the Honolulu Airport Trade center last friday which I always do on my way to work. Every other week I treat myself to an apple pie shake (which is one of my dietary sins) lol. When I got there at 11:30a.m., I didn't see the familiar face I'd usually see behind the yellow swinging doors. This employee was always the person that made my shake each time I ordered. Long story short, my apple pie shake was made by another employee, and it was absolutely terrible! It was like the recipe totally changed and I felt like complaining but I needed to get to work. To whom it may concern, PLEASE keep Trace on the shake station

The Kahlua pork sandwich is big enough to make two meals out even when you are hungry! The beef brisket is just as good and both are served on a very large sweet bread roll with a really good sauce.

A long time destination of both local residents and visitors you'll have to keep your eyes open for the signs announcing da Big Kahuna's and quickly turn into the gravel parking lot. If you drive too fast or aren't looking for it...
