I'm a regular!: Love the food (especially their goat cheese appetizers and salads)and the service and ambience create a fun place to have a pizza at! I've always been pleased every time I visit. Love to take my nieces there.

January 27, 2012 Doesn't like it taxes by terboggs (1 review) Ordered a 14.50 Veggie pizza, needed delivery. They charged over 20.00 which was a 5.50 mark up. Taxes do not come to a third of the cost of the pizza. So that free delivery is a sham.

Best Pizza in America: You have not had pizza until you have had Star Pizza. When family visits they inist on having Star Pizza. It is so...good!

Best Pizza in Houston: Service was pretty good, we had kids with us, and that was totally fine (we sat at a table on the porch); there was a lunchtime buffet, which worked great for our crew. We'll be coming back soon!

OKIE NOW AND MISS IT!: Born in nearby Galveston and lived in Houston all my life until 2003 when I was transferred to OKC. Besides the access to the beach, the most I miss in Houston is Star Pizza at the original location off Shepherd. Lots of us were transferred here at the same time and when one of us makes a trip down, we come loaded back with orders from the others for Star Pizza. There is no other pizza like it! I especially love the Veggie pizza with the wheat crust. (I am drooling right now and need to make a pizza run soon!) Try it a couple of times and you'll be hooked! Order ahead if you go - it takes a lot of time to make a pizza that good!

I have lived in NYC and Chicago and guess what - there are some pretty shitty pizza joints in their mix as well.

Pizza is the best I ever had in Houston.We ordered the Starburst Marlyn's and Chicken Alfredo. The sauce is excellent and the best one for me is the Starburst.

It was good for about one slice. After that the grease from the mushrooms turned the center of the pizza to mush. I love rotisserie chicken and I love mushrooms but they didn't make for a good pizza. However the other dishes looked good.

Best pizza in town and it isn't even close. They pile on the cheese and toppings a medium is usually enough for 4 people when we go. Since everything is home made you'll have to wait longer than most places but it is worth it.

Best Pizza in Houston. Wife took me here and now I will drive 40 miles for their Wheat crust pizza.

I added mozzarella cheese and alfredo sauce. The roasted potatoes that come with it are crisped on the outside and are yummy.

I love this place! It is probably part of the reason I am here. This is where my parents had their first date. I love the Chicken Alfredo pizza. The fresh herbs give it a minty taste. And the tomatoes in the pasta salad are so fresh it...

The pizzas don't feel greasy are not really salty and taste really fresh. We usually order a deep-dish Starburst but last weekend we decided to try a half/half combo margherita/sauteed spinach thin crust. The former was really good...

The make a wonderful Margherita pizza here among others. They also have great lasagna fettucini alfredo and many different salads and pastas. Also a good selection of beers along with soft drinks. They do deliver to a very limited area...
