The best pizza ever made!!!! I have moved away but when I go back home I get Monty's first thing. Here in Columbus everybody likes Donato's but the only advantage Donato's has over Monty's is corporate backing. Monty's slams them in the taste contest hands down. The Monday Night Special is the best deal ever and it used to be my Monday night ritual. If you live in Huntington you already know how good Monty's is, but if you visit make sure you stop by and experience the best pizza ever!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a fan of Monty's my whole life. Have been living out of town for years and always make it a pilgrimage to stop at Monty's when I do come back. My girlfriend and I came in for a visit last November(2010). We ordered the special like always with pepperoni and sausage. Service was great and the food great as always, but what struck me was what happened next as we were finishing up. An older man comes in, looking homeless, and sits down at the table next to us. He really looked like he was on hard times. The guys come out from behind the counter come over and greet him and go back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later they come out with a hot sandwich, chips and a soda. He eats quietly and then gets up and leaves. No body says a word except their goodbyes to one another. No check. No transaction of money. My girlfriend and I look at each other and smile. When you want to talk trash about a local business because your whiny little asses don't get what you want when YOU want it and want to vent stop and read this and start thinking about someone other than yourself for a change.

Can't comment on the food because we weren't even allowed in to dine! The person at the counter wouldn't allow my service dog and I to eat in at the restaurant, even when I showed proof that my dog was INDEED a real Service animal - which isn't even required by law. The man said, "I don't want that dog in here" when told he was a service dog, and kept saying, "I don't know anything about that" over and over. Methinks that Monty's pizza needs to educate it's employees on the law! Will NEVER eat there again, and will be contacting the ADA immediately regarding this. I need my service dog with me at all times due to the nature of my disability, and I CERTAINLY will not will not sacrifice my comfort or my HEALTH to eat at some Podunk pizza joint. Gross behavior Monty's Pizza! Educate yourselves!

Very good: While they have the best burgers and salads I have ever had, their pizza leaves a little to be desired.

Horrible customer service: Monty's used to be a good place to each, with new owners the customer service is horrible. Will never order from here again.

NEVER again!: They have messed my order up TOO many times. The workers and owners are rude and they don't like to step up to the plate when they've done something wrong. I found a bug in my food but they just acted like they didn't know what a bug was. NEVER again!

A Good Business...that went downhill: I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Monty's Pizza for treating me & my friends as customers should be treated up until yesterday. (If you need me to elaborate, you can read my blog about how Peparoni's Pizza of Chesapeake treated me quite rudely. Meanwhile, I have come to find that there are no pizza places in Huntington WV that are competent enough to even deliver a pizza, much less treat a customer with respect. Their focus-the money. THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR IS ALWAYS RIGHT, NOT THE CUSTOMER.) For starters, I live on the West End, but to most pizza places, this means NO MAN'S LAND. And the ones who will deliver in this area treat you badly b/c they are aware that they are the monopoly. The only places that deliver to my house are Pizza Hut and Giovanni's, two places that I cannot eat from. Peparoni's no longer delivers here. And when we do decide to have them deliver, we wait nearly two hours. We just pick it up ourselves now, from GINOS. Monty's was nice enough to deliver, AFTER we waited two hours the other night, then finally sent the husband out to pick it up. When he got to the establishment, he was told that the pizza was already delivered. The person behind the counter REFUSED to take the money from my husband. They gave him a voucher for a free pizza. While he was on his way back home, the pizza was indeed delivered, cold & hard. We were so hungry, we ate it anyway. We called Friday night to get our free pizza, and we were told that Doug refused to pay. They had the audacity to offer to deliver our order for payment after insulting my spouse. I told him to hang up the phone. We got Ginos instead. I guess accomplishing some things such as manners, fully cooked food, and getting an order correct and delivered in less than two hours, are just too hard for ANY pizza place. Excellent Job, Monty's! Thank you again! *sarcasm dripping*

I have eaten here all my life. At least in the Huntington Area, This is the best. I havnt tried anything else they offer. All we were interested in was the pizza. They are usually very cheesy, and are cut well. The Greese does tend to collect quite a bit in the middle of the pizza. overall a great pizza to eat. Ginos tasts to sweet and little ceasars has a cardboard after taste....Montys all the way.
