Decent Pie...Terrible Atmosphere!!!: I've ate here on numerous occasions and it always seems to take forever to get a pizza....it ends up being pretty good but the atmosphere of the place which attempts to mimic an English pub is painful....I used to live in London so I've frequented my fair share of pubs but this copycat job is pathetic and depressing....even the outside seating is painful making it a great place for takeout...though I do dig a good pint of a good brew

Excellent Chicago-style Pizza: This has got to be the best Chicago-style pizza outside Chicago.

Hands down the best: I agree the atmosphere is not the absolute best, it is loud and not the most comfortable. That said, they have absolutely the best pizza around.

The flying tomato pizza is all I like at Wig and Pen but I like it so much Wig and Pen gets four stars. Wig is a pizza place order anything else and you'll be disappointed, it's just regular bar food.

My husband and I always try to stop there when we are in Iowa City. It was recommended to us by staff at a business we frequent, and we were not disappointed. All we've had is flying tomato pie - but it's fabulous! It takes a bit of time to make but is well worth waiting for with the flaky crust and all the cheese!

probably the best pizza in iowa city, cramped and dank atmosphere, average service at best, nothing else too remarkable on the menu, pizza prices are more than fair

you have to get the pizza like other reviews say its there main thing any other item is just 'average' ! The reason why I love this place is because my pop never gets below half gone before there right there to fill it up again ! Even during busy football season we went after the game the place was packed we ordered pizza and there was always someone filling pops up for the entire place. Not bad

I've eaten at the Wig and Pen a couple of times it's okay nothing special. Their salads and pastas are okay but I would recommend getting their pizza or a sandwich. When I come here I normally get the Union Jack with the Flying Tomato crust. It is sausage pepperoni Italian peppers mushrooms onions and when you get it on the flying tomato crust it comes with tomatoes. The food and service are okay however I would rather get my pizza from Pizza on Dubuque.

Good cheap restaurant. Very busy atmosphere. Certainly not the greatest pizza in town but has very good deep dish. The atmosphere with it being so small and parking being so bad puts it at 3 stars.

Delicious pizza!! Homemade crust is light and crispy. Sauce tastes fresh yet savory.
