Terrific manicotti & ravioli: Terrific manicotti & ravioli, so-so spaghetti, fairly grungy ambience, bring wine or beer in if you want it as they don't have it but will bring glasses cheerfully. We go there often if we are in the neighborhood. Price is right too.

Love the manicotti, chicken parmesan, eggplant parm, ravioli - and the salads are great! The chef/owner is the nicest person in the world - we've been loyal customers for years - and it remains our favorite Italian restaurant! Thanks for all the delicious years!

pizza italian: Great pizza

This without doubt the best Italian food in Jacksonville. Great taste, friendly people. Not fancy not expensive. The Pizza is unique and terrific. Go there and try anything and be pleased. Needless to say I am a big fan and have been eating there for decades. It is making me hungry just writing this review. Try a Pizza Italian baked spaghetti!

This place is like a time machine, I don't think much has changed since I was a teenager, not even the prices. The atmosphere is 5Points funky, which I like and the service is always good. The salads are great as are some of the entrees, especially the boneless chicken parmigiana with mushrooms, peppers and a nice layer of browned mozzarella on top. The sauce in the last year or so has been greatly improved from the past. If they had a building like Al's, the line would be out the door.

Wish it was on my side of the river!!: We absolutely love their lasagna!! It is the best ever. Can't wait to get over there again!

Pizza Italian is the best Italian Restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida! It's location and general feel fits perfectly into the heart of 5 points. I've been coming in for their delicious "home-style" lasagna, manicotti, spaghetti, and other favorite dishes, for years now. The owner works in the kitchen every single day and always welcomes us with his kind and friendly words. The prices are beyond fair and I'd recommend anyone to dine here for a casual, yummy meal.

I love this restaurant! This place was delicious which means that looks are definitely decieving. From outside it doesnt look like much and even from the inside it is very small. However this does not have anything to do with taste and Pizza Italian has some of the tastiest italian dishes I have had in a while. They have an awesome selection great appetizers and a wonderfully comfortable setting.

Straight forward good value and great taste. Service is also really quick! I enjoy this place when i want pizza or some traditional pasta dish like spaghetti. They do it right! Will keep coming back. P.S. get a visa machine and update the decor :)

Been going here since I was 15.... I am 30 now. Love the location in historic Avondale. You can shop eat exercise watch a movie... etc. Kids love the area too. Food is very original and unique.

I ordered Baked Canneloni Parmigiana with a side order of Meatballs. When I showed up to the place they had a lid from a tomato box stuffed with food with my name on it: Two bags of fresh hot garlic bread two tubes of fresh home made canneloni not the premix you get at chain restaurants an umblemished and sparkling fresh salad with tomato onion and green olives with home made blue cheese dressing. The canneloni came on top of chunky meat sauce that was hearty and succulent. My total price including tax and tip was just under twelve bucks. Surprisingly I finished one whole bag of garlic bread just sopping up the meat sauce. Not only was Kosta's Pizza Italian by far the best value I've had in a long time it was also the best quality. Fresh incredients traditional Italian recipes and substantial portions... I'll have leftovers for tonight but I'm going back for the manicotti tomorrow!
