This place is absolutely fabulous. Carmelo and his staff do a superb job of presenting the best authentically Italian food in Jacksonville.

I love Piesanos! The food is absolutely delicious. The owners make you feel like you are part of their family. They are super friendly and great cooks. I can't say enough great things about this place. It is truly my favorite place to eat Italian food. I have tried most of their specials and have yet to find something I didn't like. The Chicken Angelo is out of this world. The meals are creative and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to all!

We visited Piesano for lunch yesterday and was very disappointed based on the reviews on this site. The salad greens had a bad after taste (almost like freezer burn) and the lasagna tasted just like the frozen kind that I got at the Kettle just last week. The place was very clean but I was not impressed with the food or the service.

its the most amazing restarant in the world. The pasta, pizza, desert, everything is great. If I could I would give it a 100 out of 5 because its that good. Me and my wife go there almost every day and every time I go it taste better than the last. Very friendly atmosphere. family owned, the owners are very nice and I feel like I'm at home when I eat there. IF you like real italian food you better go to pie sano.

The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The owners are busy but take the time to greet their customers. Usually soothing music is playing in the background. A nice change from the chains that dot the Jacksonville landscape.

I have never had something I did not like. It's awesome! I love the kind of places that make real food. It's all fresh and so good. Kicks olive gardens butt. The environment is more simple but the food is prestige.

We have visited this place several times over the course of our being stationed in J'ville, and were fans of the pizza's that they offer. Today we went to try their pasta offerings, as we always see others enjoying large servings amongst themselves. Sadly, we were extremely disappointed. Not only was the service subpar (their usually great servers were not there), the waitress served pathetic, small salads that had brown lettuce, had 1 little slice of tomato, and a few croutons. Then she brought out their "freshly baked bread" which was burnt (she even prefaced the delivery of the bread by saying "the cook bakes these in advance, so if it's too burnt from being kept warm, just let me know and I'll get you another". (why would a person even serve it if they felt they had to warn the customer?). And yes, the bread was too burnt. When we received our lasagna (which was large enough for the two of us to share) it was very disappointing. It tasted like the sauce was from a can (not even a jar) and was very bland. It even had sausage in it, but still had hardly any flavor. It was also rather soupy. Overall, we're extremely disappointed, and will likely not return. Something has changed within the restaurant and its no longer worth returning. We've even found a different pizza place (credo's) which we think is much better.

Take out's never been so good.: A pleasant experience ... just a call and you can pick up a little taste of Italy at an inexpensive price ... last minute party ... or gathering ... but noone's interested in Pizza or burgers ... Call Piesano an exellent choice of pasta dishes ... with sauces that leave the mouth watering ... Think I'll order take out tonight. The Godling Review

Taste of home: Piesanos owners are originally from New York, and had an Italian resturaunt by my hometown in CT. I am extremely thankful that they moved down here, because now my family can have a tast of home any night of the week. Piesanos offers classic New York Italian cuisine, with the cheap prices of a southern resturaunt. Their daily specials like Chicken Angelo, and Veal scallapini are amazing. The pizza has a nice thin and crispy crust and is made with the best of ingredients. There is a small problem though, with a few exceptions....the service is slow and inexperienced. Make sure when you order that you specify that you want all of your parties meals to come out at once. The staff has a tendency to bring them out as they are ready. Nothing worse than having your meal in forn tof you and waiting politely for the rest of the guests to be served. If you do go to enjoy this family oriented resturaunt be sure to talk to the owners. They are extremely friendly, and from the husband and wife....right through to the youngest son, they all have a part in the daily operations. It is something very special to have close by.

The service was excellent. The food was great. To be able to find a place in J'ville with both is another story, so I would definately recommend this place.

The food is great as long as you can put up with the wife's complaining and griping....even at other waitresses!!

Chicken Angelo was awesome: The service was a bit slow but that is expected of a mom and pop restaurant. The food however was very good. I highly recommend the Chicken Angelo.

This place was great! The staff was wonderful. They were very welcoming, very kind, accomidating to our two toddlers, and our waiter made us feel like we were part of the family! Our food was so delicious. My only complaint was it took a little long to come out, but it was so well worth the wait! Everything tasted freshly made, and that was so important! We had a lot of bread on the table constantly, and a great oil/garlic dip made for us! The best part of the dinner was the cannoli! I'm an Italian from NY and have never had a cannoli so good! The restaurant is very family friendly. We heard a recommendation about it and decided to try. We almost didn't want to go in because it looked more like a pizzaria (which they make too!) than a nice Italian restaurant. But the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Like I said, it's a great place to take a family and kids for a relaxed meal, but I'd like to see them fancy it up a bit, because it'd be the perfect date night place to go for a GREAT meal. We look forward to having another craving for cannoli to return! We really loved it!

We order from Piesano's fairly regularly, particularly their pizza and salad. Very good food. Pleasantly surprised that we found such a decent place in J'ville!

Service was terrible. Poor lady was all by herself and man did that place get busy fast. Couple behind us got tired of waiting. Their loss cause the pizza was really good. My wife is forever looking for Papa's Pizza's BBQ chicken pizza (pizza place in OR) and she said this was very comparable. I got a loaded pizza and it was really good. Overall good place for pizza.

real Italian Food!!! This place is awesome. The house chicken salad will make non-salad likers LOVE salad! The dressing is the best I have ever tasted and is great just on the bread they give you at the table. My husband uses the bread to clean...
