Close enough: Closest thing to east coast pizza KC has to offer -- but can't hold a candle to Vinnie's in Bloomfield, NJ

The pizza is awesome and the Lasagne dinner can't be beat. The deli sandwiches are hit and miss but mostly great.

Quite possibly the best pizza in Kansas City. The lasagna is also to die for. Highly filling food for an amazing price.

Best Chicken Parmasean: I love this restaurant it is a classic take on the New York Deli. The Chicken Parm. Sandwich is the best and they make it fresh when you order so it is a small wait. The attention to the details though is what makes it fantastic, the bread that it's served on is hot with a crispy crust and has melted mozzarella/provolone cheese. They make a wonderful lime-aid and serve most all of Stewart's different varieties of sodas. The decor is graffitied walls and booths but it lends itself as charm. You want to get there early in the lunch or dinner hour because it isn't uncommon for the line to snake out the door. Cold sandwiches are served almost instantaneously. The local teaching hospital is next door and quite a bit of traffic comes from there. It is a seat yourself establishment and part of the fun is sitting at the long table among strangers and either eavesdropping or joining into a nearby discussion. The people-watching is second-to-none as there is a contingency of medical students, artists, new-age tree-huggers, and suited up power-lunch bourgeoisie. The service is friendly and efficient. My little niece liked eating there because she enjoyed watching them toss the pizza dough and I took a young lady from our youth group and she liked watching him toss the dough not because of any skill but because he was "cute". It's not the cheapest place to eat I'd count on $7-10 per person. My husband and I will be hosting a party in our home April 1st and we plan to order the 36" party pizza because we are confident that everyone will like it as well!

My dad takes us there for his birthday all the time. We all love it. If you give the chefs a tip you get a roll of dough to play with at your table. Its very quick and fun to watch them hand toss the pizza. They also have really big party pizza's that I get for my slumber parties. The only bad thing is the location. Hard to find a parking spot. But the pizza tastes awsome, best in Kansas City by far!!!

Hands-down the best place to get New York style pizza in KC. Sandwiches are good too!! Best of all it is a great place to eat that is not a homogenized chain restaurant. The restaurant has the real ambiance of a New York pizzeria and great food too.

Excellent stuff: The huge deluxe pizzas that come out of this place will rock your suburbanite Pizza-Hut-loving socks off. The largest pizza may not literally be big enough to feed an army, but it would go a long way toward taking the edge off the average platoon's hunger. And the ingredients are all of the highest quality. The result is a pizza that can compete with the best New York and Chicago have to offer. Also the reuben sandwich is huge, tasty, and quick enough that you'll be able to make it back to work before the boss. For dessert, there is a great selection of pastries, cakes, and homemade apple cream pie. The ambience is also worth the trip. Hardwood floors, tin ceiling, brick walls that are full of grafitti, and an aroma that makes the experience complete. The disadvantage to D'Bronx is the fact that the line gets really long at meal times. They move people through really quickly, but if you get there at 12:30, you won't likely be out by 1:00.

The BEST pizza in KC!: The pizza is amazing! I've never had pizza in New York before, but if it's anything like d'Bronx, it's worth every penny! I recommend their specialty pizza with all the different meats on it. Also, the seating area is kind of small so go early or late, or better yet call them and tell them you're coming! Can't beat d'Bronx!

DBronx has authenic NY pizza but I don't like the taste of the sauce. Everyone else I have talked to thinks it's delicious but something about the taste of the sauce does not agree with me. I have tried other dishes there and as long as there is no red sauce on it I have enjoyed it. Great location.

I don't believe all thin crust can be considered NYC style for sure. It's not cracker thin crust it has a little chew to it. :) What I do think is exceptional at d'Bronx are their authentic deli sandwiches always a treat.

The crust was pretty good...yet the cheese and sauce lacked any zip. Like the pizza the meatball sub was bland and briney (yes they packed a pickle with the sub...which was a first for me). The host was not too friendly but wasn't rude...

Situated on a corner this restaurant which is a short walk from KU-Med offers a great variety of American food. The back part of the restaurant is where they make pizzas. The ambience is really hip and stylish.

October 14 2009 - Really likes it - In a world full of pizza choices one truly stands out D'Bronx Deli and Pizzeria on 39th Street at Bell. They serve-up my favorite normal non-gourmet pizza in the city. It is some of the best pizza I...
