Delicious!: Before I was a vegetarian, I used to eat the turkey grinders--wonderful! Some of the best I've ever had. Now I just make up my own pizza concoctions--one of my favorite pizza spots. The service is also always very friendly.

A Lifelong Favorite: Acropolis Pizza (formerly Athens) is a fixture in Kirkland, known for its fantastic food and friendly family-owned-business atmosphere. The menu is terrific overall, but the true star of the show is the selection of hot oven grinders. These oven-toasted sandwiches are delicious, far beyond what you?d find at any chain restaurant. I highly recommend the Canadian bacon grinder, but am also fond of the Pastrami (though they?re all good). The herb mayo is what truly holds the sandwich together, so even if you don?t care for mayonnaise, you may want to give these a try. The food is moderately priced, and you get very large portions for what you pay, so it?s definitely worth a visit. Try the baklava, too--it's fantastic!

Great pizza/pasta place in Kirkland: I discovered this place after a took a job that takes me to Kirkland every week for a couple of days. Now it's the most common place I eat up here. Good food, generous portions, easygoing atmosphere. Good place to meet people for dinner (Kirkland-ers know this place its been here so long). I find the "heavier" pasta entrees a little too heavy, but the food is definately great for a family restaurant and its usually not a problem getting a table right away. Great value for money too.

Great if you like thick pizza: I just discovered this place 2 weeks ago, when I moved to Kirkland, and LOVE it! I would recommend the Acropolis Special. It has all kinds of goodies.

Acropolis is a great place that has been the same for years. I've been eating grinders here for maybe 15 years and they've always been great! From the meatball which is saucy and has tasty... - Sione P. - Nov-04-2010
