Im Happy!10/24/2007
Ive written a review on this place before....Ive never had NY pizza in NY. I definitly agree this place is not good. Its cheese and sauce on a cuban cracker. So for anyone who is making stupid remarks about people going to NY to eat pizza there is better places in Miami to have pizza. NY pizza is greesy and in my opinion so is any good pizza, try Papa Riccos near The Falls or Pizza Rustica on South Beach. Ive had a friend get Cazola's chicken wings before...LOL they are not what u would think them to be, its like ordering an 8 piece at KFC...DUH!

Don't go here: Bad service, lots of grease in the pizza, I really don't see how this pizza is considered the best. I'd rather order Dominos or something next time because this place is nothing special. Not only does it not live up to the hype, its just bad.

What's wrong with you?: OK. I moved to Miami from NY almost a year ago. I can certainly assure you that Cazola is not even an average pizza place. First of all the place is dirty like a public restroom. Their pizza is EXTREMELY GREASY. Dough doesn't even taste right.
It may be the best tasting or most American pizza to Cubans but i thinks it's not even average...Go to NY, NJ or South Philly if you want to taste some pizza. You can find a better place anywhere or simply call Domino's...
God I can't believe people are calling this place "the best pizza place"....

Speed Dial Standby: Very good pizza. Take out or delivery are your best bets - the restaurant itself looks like it was transplanted from a NY sidewalk (not bad, but if you've lived there you know what I mean). Delivery is not the quickest in the area, price is not the lowest, but the pizza is definetely the best.

We've got what you want!: Jumbo sliced pizza, big bowl of fettucinnis, and rolls og garlic bread is what you can experience at Cazolas. In Miami, many late night party goers are always hungry, and in need of a quick fix. Thats were Cazolas comes into place. With reasonible prices and a good amount of food. My favorite item would be the hot subs, the smallest size, is actually longer that 12'inches., and they're always stuffed with what you want. They have from chicken wings to pasta items and desserts. You will always find this establishment filled with people rather it be 12 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning the place is filled with hungry people. They have an outdoor setting aw well as a indoor setting. It has whatever you need and want. They've got what you want!!!

Casola's: I work downtown and have lived my entire life in Miami and just recently discovered Casola's after a co-worker invited me for lunch. Needless to say, I have been back several times and they have exceeded my expectations every time! The pizza's are huge! A single slice is enough to fill most people, not kidding! and a whole pizza can feed two families! But that is not where the story ends, Casola's pizza is equally matched by their vast selection of steak subs, cold cut subs, salads and wings. The subs are huge too, for the price of a little sub at Quiznos or Subway you get a huge freshly toasted sub which can satisfy two appetites! During my last visit I was surprised by a young lady handing out small gelato (ice cream) samples and even though I was stuffed I took a sample and boy was I blown away! Needless to say I went over to the gelato stand and ordered a large cup for a few bucks that fed and amazed everybody at our table. TRULY A DELICIOUS DELITE!!! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Casola's is living on reputation alone now. The food is insipid and mundane. There are better pizzerias around. Who makes the decision to put the rankings together? Buyer beware!

Delicious pizza.: The food in itself is amazing. The portions are ridiculous. A single slice is about one foot long by 8 inches at the crust. The fries are also very good. Everyone we've taken has really fallen in love with the pizza.
The service (cashiers) are sometimes rude though, but the food is ready quickly.
I don't like eating in the restaurant. It's very loud, and the actual restaurant itself looks very cheap. But a good thing is the prices are very cheap also :)
Overall, I'd give it a 4out of 5.

Best pizza ever: One of my greatest memories of going to the University of Miami was hitting Casola's late at night after the bars closed. To this day it is the biggest and best slice I have ever found anywhere, even in New York and Philly. The sauce and texture is just right. The coolest thing about the place is that they cut up little slice samples and let you eat them while you wait. If there is any drawback at all it's that the place looks like a dump. But after all it's a pizza joint and I guess that's part of the allure.

Fabulous Croissant Sandwiches: Casola's has fabulous fresh and yummy croissant sandwiches. The tuna croissant is enough to feed three every croissant is enough to feed three. No matter what you pick you cannot go wrong, if you pick ham and cheese they have a fantatastic italian dressing they pour on. Once you try it your hooked, I have been hooked for over 20 years.

Hey Cuba Libre, I'm originally from New York (Queens) and I lived in Miami from 1996 to 2002. I remember going to Cazola's many times and enjoying the pizza not just for the taste but also the size. I also heard from my friends in Miami that the owner died and the pizza hasn't been the same. It use to have a very good reputation but from what I'm hearing, new pizza places have pop up that are much better. You have to remember, pizza in New York is like Cuban food in Miami. So when people from New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia say the pizza isn't that good, they know of what they speak. Just like you would if you went to say Houston, TX and tried Cuban food, it wouldn't compare to Miami's. If you don't make it good you can go down the block and get better.

Nothing beats the 3am pizza: OK, maybe the pizza isn't bubbling hot out of the oven, but it may be waiting for you before you even get your change back. Get one slice, because it resembles two big ones. Eat it fast and hard, and sit back and finally realize how much you needed the slice then and how much you need a bed now.

I was really impressed with the people that work there- fast, courteous- and was blown away at the taste! I usually dump a bunch of extra cheese or garlic salt to flavor pizza, but honestly, I never had to with theirs. And don't get me started on the garlic rolls!!!! MmmmMmm!

The best pizza place!: Of course, as any teenager, I LOVE pizza. I've always tried Domino's, Papa John's, and Pizza Hut. I used to love Pizza Hut, but now it's second best to Casola's. Casola's underwent a huge renovation and I've been there twice after they remodeled. Before, needless to say, it wasn't really inviting. Now, there is much better lighting, spacious seating, cleanliness, nice decorations with a mural on the wall, great service, and, most importantly, the BEST food. In addition, they added a gelato bar with DELICIOUS ice cream (or more correctly, gelato) with free samples.

Was Good: Casola's was great. Now the crust is too soggy from oil, not enough sause and way too much cheese. When you hold the pizza up it just flaps heavily on the side of your arm. Sometimes the cheese is well cooked, sometimes it isn't. Many other great pizza dives in Miami. Skip this one. I hear the subs are great, though.

Late Nights, Full Stomachs: Tucked behind an unassuming gas station and within the boundaries of Coconut Grove, lies a little place everyone has come to experience at odd hours of the night. Whether it be gargantuan sized slices, or rib busting calzones, this small pizza joint aims to fill. The newly redesigned interior, may not wow the noveau riche, but provides a cozy atmosphere nontheless. They even have an ATM for the non-cash carrying types. Tip: take advantage of the free sample slices served regularly by the gracious staff.
