10th Annual “PizzaThon”

In Clear Lake Iowa, Students are showing off their marketing skills and learning at the same time through team work and agriculture.

As they create one-of a kind pizzas from their agricultural experience, each team markets their own products and sells it to the public.

Around 8 different teams are involved in creating different pizzas in the 10th annual "PizzaThon" event.

The project has been on going since February and organizers made sure the agricultural aspect is absorbed in this experiment.

“They took their ingredients from their pizza and traced them back to the farm. If they had sausage on their pizza, they had to figure out where that sausage came from and investigate, do a little more research on pork industries in Iowa.” “Ag in the Classroom” Coordinator, Brenda Adams.

Cash prizes were given to the top 3 winners and the money is given to the school for programs.
