Pizza delivery robberies have been common the past few months and what makes it surprising is are the suspects involved.
Teen agers from Worcester have been arrested by the police last week for crimes of terrorizing pizza drivers. The said suspects are accused of three other similar incidents and were planning a fourth scam. Each incident involved a fake order, a 24-inch knife and a threat to rob each driver of the food and cash.
What makes it shocking are the ages of these juveniles, brain washed with such crimes at the age of 14 and 16 years old.
Good thing the police acted fast and started rounds of patrol within Rodney Street, where they met a delivery man whom they warned. Coincidentally, the warned pizza man informed the officers of the suspicious order where he delivered in an abandoned building. Upon delivery, the two men tried forcing the driver to go out of the car but he didn’t and decided to drive away.
After that incident, another report was informed to the police by a taxi driver who met two suspicious men that had no money but tried to ride off. They didn’t get into the taxi ride but they got ito a livery car and letting police discover them moments later, with a half bottle of cognac, a machete and a phone.
“Both males became nervous and were frantically moving around back and forth in the back seat when police began to have conversation with them,” said police
The two black teen aged boys who were 6 feet and 5 foot 10 were caught when the police called the phone number that kept bugging pizza delivery men. The number had proved that they were the juveniles behind all the crimes when it started ringing during the investigation.
Charges such as armed robbery and having an open container are what they are facing now in juvenile court.
