3 Boston Pizza Places In Trouble For Late Night Pizza

Pepperoni pizza at late night sets trouble for the three Boston Pizza places. The Boston City Hall states that the three joints are open up too late at night, in which case the licensing board need to decide if sanctions should be implemented.

Boston Police reports that the University House of Pizza found in Huntington Avenue are often still open beyond its closing hours, sometimes 90 minutes over their 1 a.m. closing.

Another pizza joint closed 30 minutes beyond its 1 a.m. closing time. This pizza joint is found in Washington Street - Papa John's Pizza. Its license however, is only up to 11 p.m.

This dilemma with pizza joints isn't unusual. According to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens, this is due to the high-concentration of college students.

“Restaurants, bars, it’s something we see across the board from licensees, even fortune tellers,” board chair Nicole Ferrer said.
