After getting a close look at the autopilot delivery car and the pizza vending machine, Discovery Channel now lets us get a sneak peak of the future with one of their shows “Prototype This.”
The group within the show had created a pizza robot that would personally deliver pizza around San Francisco, which is built out of a warming box, a credit card validation, and a wheeled-mobile body.
Through the validation system, secured delivery is ensured and profile is confirmed if it matches with the person who ordered. After validation, confirmed person can now claim their ordered pizzas right out of the warming box.
The robot was called “Luigi” and was built to really deliver! Even with real obstacles, the said robot passed and efficiently delivered. Not bad for something that doesn’t have full senses.
Maybe next time the robots would be eating pizza with us!
