A Slice Of Pizza For A Cell Phone

Here’s an amazing treat from Pizza Pizza!

You can give your unused mobile phone or handheld device to get a slice of Pizza from Pizza Pizza throughout the month of April.  The company’s Cells for Slices program helps people to recycle unused mobile phones.

According to Pat Finelli, “The Cells for Slices program is a win for everyone. It reminds people of the need to be environmentally responsible and that doing so can be a real positive experience.”

The fast-paced innovations in mobile technology have afforded people more options to choose from at reasonable prices; many mobile devices are left unused because of this.

Disposing mobile handheld devices have proven quite to be a challenge since these things contain hazardous substances and chemicals that are also bad for the environment.  Once these gadgets are collected, they need to be processed responsibly by an approved electronic waste recycler.

The Cells for Slices programs helps people with unused mobile gadgets get rid of them more responsibly and also help raise funds for Food Banks Canada.

“The Cells for Slices program is an initiative that helps Food Banks Canada raise funds that are invested in national programs to support food banks across the country,” supported Katherine Schmidt, Executive Director of Food Banks Canada.

Pizza Pizza’s program has recycled more than 5,600 mobile gadgets since it started in 2004. Outlets in Ontario, Winnipeg and Regina are joining the campaign.
