Battle of the Pies, Stromboli V.S. Calzone

A calzone is known as a pocket pizza or sometimes known as an inverted pie. A stromboli meanwhile is also a pizza shaped differently and well fitting to any event. Both are simply pizza pies that are in different forms and personalities.

The Calzone is usually a crescent shape, filled with the usual toppings a pizza has. The filling is inside two layers of crusts as if it was folded into half. Usually the cheese placed inside gushes out and the sauce is not added in its fillings so it won't be soggy. It could be customized just as a pizza could and is filled with whatever topping the chef prefers.

This kind of pie is usually made for a single serving but there are other restaurants that offer huge sizes.

On the other hand, a Stromboli is a different dish even if it is quite similar in its features. It is usually rectangular and rolled up with the fillings or the toppings. Unlike the calzone, this dish is given more meat, less cheese and less veggies. Sauce is also included in the stromboli and some restaurants even serve additional sauce on the side.

Both dishes are baked just as a pizza does. If you were to choose between the two, which kind of pizza would you get?
