Bethesda Pizzeria Makeover

A pizzeria in Bethesda is getting a makeover. Haven Pizzeria Napoletana was originally opened by an accountant, Tiger Mullen. Through some ups and downs he didn’t do well when the shop first opened. Mullen gave up his controlling interest, but ended up buying it back, still striving to realize his vision for the restaurant.

Mullen ended up selling his accounting business in order to position himself to buy back his restaurant. This time he is determined to make it work. His vision is to have an artisan pizzeria that features great ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes, hand pulled mozzarella cheese and New England clams. He makes things from scratch and offers one size of pizza along with appetizers and rustic breads. He is also offering a breakfast menu.

The new incarnation of the restaurant will be renamed Pitzze Table. He has also purchased a couple of trucks with the intent of using them in a catering operation which will be called Tomato Flyer Pizza Co.
