Blue Moon Pizza, a Fort Myers restaurant and bar is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday. The ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 4:30PM, but doors will open to customers at 11AM. They will be open until 10PM.
The first Blue Moon Pizza restaurant was opened in Marietta, Georgia in 2003. There are 4 locations in Atlanta and the Fort Myers restaurant is the first in Florida.
Kelvin and Mandy Slater are the owners. “When we moved to Georgia, Kelvin and I ultimately wanted to open a restaurant with a casual atmosphere that was different, a place where people could go to and have fun – a place where we would like to hang out,” says Mandy. The couple both came from a corporate restaurant background with the perfect level of experience to venture off on their own.
They are now celebrating 11 years in business and have developed some loyal followers. They offer both traditional and gourmet pizzas, salads and sandwiches as well as a variety of bar offerings.
