Caterpillar Pizza Anyone?

This week, United Nations are encouraging people to consume insects, maybe as a pizza topping or side dish, to fight hunger. Though as bizarre as it may sound, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization dictates that these crawling creatures can be a good source of nutrition and even lessen pollution.

Presently, over 2 million people are already doing this in their diets and have already consumed insects such as caterpillars, grasshoppers and beetles. Over at Southeast Asian and African countries, insects have been part of their menu and this has been studied to be a good source of food, even fight world hunger.

However, there is still a few more issues to think about such as insecticides and more importantly, disgust of consumers. With that said, serving insects with pizza could probably be a hard goal to achieve.
