Delivery Car Stolen by Ipswich Teens

A pizza delivery guy was robbed last Friday by four teenagers in Ipswich. The four teenagers were arrested for several reasons – driving without a license, unlawful use of motor vehicle, robbing the delivery guy and stealing the car. st

The said teen agers were heading for a joyride to Harvey Bay using the stolen car but unfortunately for them, the car was spotted by police in north coast town the next day.

The arrested suspects were 12, 15, 16 and 17 year old teenagers who deviously deceived the delivery man to bring in pizza at 12:15 am. After arriving, two of the group threatened the delivery man with a stick and robbed him his money, pizzas and the car.

"Threats were made to his person and demands were made to hand over cash and the pizzas," said Dave Tolsher, Ipswich CIB Acting Detective Senior Sergeant.

The three younger teenage boys stayed in custody and face a trial in Harvey Bay Children’s Court.

The 17-year old teenage girl mean while, was released but will be facing the Harvey Bay Magistrates Court on June 28.
