The Domino’s Delivery Project

There was the Google car, the pizza deliveries, dog deliveries and now it seems like Domino’s is taking a leap towards the futuristic pizza delivery.

Partnering with an automotive group of designers and manufacturers called Local Motors, Domino’s has taken a leap of faith to finally match their ideal automated pizza delivery to a real one. By creating a design competition, Domino’s hopes to find something that would add efficiency and enable employees to work effectively in ease with the new vehicle design.

The winner of the project will receive $10,000 and the requirements involve having a spacious vehicle that can bring 20 pizzas in heatwave bags, space that would maintain some items cool, should be energy efficient, durable, fashionably modern in a sense that drivers would appreciate, and of course, it should be less than $20,000 to build.
