Domino’s Launches WeChat

Technology can be a one of the best things for a consumer and for businesses, especially if it can provide comfort.

In Malaysia, Domino’s Pizza has implemented a new technology for mobile chat called WeChat, that aims to boost sales. The partnership will remain focused attracting more customers through chat.

Domino’s Malaysia and Singapore president Ba U Shan-Ting stated that “Technology is a large part of our business. We want to be more on hands and interactive with our customers.”

Orders can now be attained through WeChat and to start the interest flowing, Domino’s is willing to give out a second regular pizza if customers order through the mobile technology.

Lisa Surihani and Shaheizy Sam endorses Domino’s and WeChat’s offers and emphasizes on “Push to Talk” and “Moments” functions.

“We are not just a chatting application, we are a mobile social communication platform. With the right strategies, local merchants can interact better with their customers.” Said VP of Tencent International Business, Poshu Yueng.

Yueng also added that WeChat has partnered with the Malaysian Domino’s since this county has been the top user of the said technology.

Maybe next time, there would be an American version of WeChat for ordering pizzas.
