Buddy’s Pizza stood out in the Detroit region as they launched their new set of pizza choices – Great Lakes-themed Pizzas. The new line is their way to show their support to the environment-friendly group, which is very well seen in the percentage that they donate for every pie sold.
Chicago group “Alliance for the Great Lakes” receives a dollar for every purchase of a “Made in Michigan Great Lakes pizza” from Buddy’s.
The new collection includes five different flavors, namely Lake Michigan, The Lake Superior pizza, The Lake Erie Pizza, Lake Ontario, and Lake Huron.
Each pizza has unique combinations of toppings, inspired from the Great state of Michigan. Specifically, Lake Michigan contains ground beef, cheese blend, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and tomato basil. Lake Superior mean while contains fresh basil, pine nuts, pepperoni, tomato basil sauce, and Buddy’s spice blend. Lake Erie however has a similarity to a Hawaiian taste, having pineapples in its ingredients together with cilantro, Canadian bacon, and Buddy’s bbq sauce.
Lake Erie pizza contains red onion, roasted red peppers and salami while Lake Huron includes spinach artichoke blend and roasted tomatoes.
The Detroit based establishment is known to be the “number one square pizza since 1946” and continues to distribute its fulfilling food in the area, having 9 branches around.
