Expensive Pizzas from $450-$2300!

This could probably set a record as one of the most expensive pizzas in this century – a $450 lobster cod and caviar pizza.

The said pie is oozing with scrumptious toppings such as Thermidor of Lobster and black Alaskan cod and Russian Osetra caviar, three most expensive and most luxurious food known to mankind.

The restaurant responsible for the expensive dish is Stevenston Pizza Co., which is widely known to have pizzas with prices from $14-28 and three branches in the Canadian coast and Vancouver.

Sadly for them, there was only one brave taker of the expensive pizza. I guess expense is higher than demand.

But the main idea of having such pizza isn’t solely about profit. According to pizza restaurant owner Nader Hatami, it was all about culinary statement and being known to be unique.

'I don't know if you've tried our pizza but each one is pretty unique,' he said.

Focused on such idea, Hatami confesses that he would sell so many of his other dishes, including his Icelandic scampi smoked steelhead and lobster ratatouille that was sold for $120.

'I never thought I'd sell so many,' Mr Hatami said.

Gourmet dishes, the lobster pizza and the lobster ratatouille requires to be pre-ordered a day before claim.

However, the $450 pizza isn’t the most expensive in the market. Found in the World Records Academy, Margo’s Pizzeria’s $2,382.66 pizza holds the title for most expensive. The luxurious pie is filled with white truffles, buffalo mozzarella in thin-crust topped with a 24-carat gold leaf. Who knows who would eat such leaf but Margo’s Pizzeria sure does know how to draw attention.
