Fast Growing Chain Targeting Tennessee

The Marco’s pizza chain is one of the fastest growing in the nation. They are currently focusing on middle Tennessee for their expansion. Their plans include opening 27 new stores in within the next 2 years in that area.

The company is based out of Toledo, Ohio. It was started in 1978 by Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco. Some of their locations have limited seating for dining, but most offer only takeout and delivery. In addition their pizza is the “official pizza” of the MTSU Blue Raider sports.

Marco’s advertises their pizza as having fresh ingredients with their dough and sauce made on site. They use cheese that is never frozen and their toppings are generous. Stuart Field is the company’s area representative for Nashville. He feels the area is a great spot for the franchises which take about $250,000 to $300,000 to open. The franchise fee is only $25,000, the rest depends on the location and whether the store will have dining in or is limited to carry out and delivery.
