Great Pizza Options in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is home to lot of pizza places. You’ll find every style of pizza available from Chicago-style to New York style and everything in between.

Head to Koreatown to All Angelo Pizza & Pasta to try their Romagnan specialties. They have both pizza blanca and pizza rossa.

If you’re looking for something that is out of the ordinary, you can try Apollonia’s. There you’ll find a pizza topped with alligator sauce. Check them out on Valentine’s day for heart shaped pizzas.

In the middle of an industrial area in Gardena you’ll find 30 different types of pizza at Antonio Pellini’s Eatalian Café. Try their chicken-topped pizza. It comes with rosemary chicken instead of the more ‘expected’ barbecue.

Of course you’ll want to try some New York style pizza and what better place to get that than at Grimaldi’s, an institution in Brooklyn. This location in El Segundo makes use of the same dough recipe as the original, cooked to perfection in a coal-fired brick oven.

Ugo in Culver City has certified Neapolitan pizza, using their house made mozzarella cheese. Pizzas are cooked in a 1000 degree wood-burning oven.

Hollywood Pies sells Chicago style pizzas. These deep dish offerings have tons of cheese, house-made ricotta and are topped with chunky tomato sauce.

For a completely non-traditional crust go to Zelo Cornmeal Crust Pizza. They also offer some unique toppings including corn, balsamic vinegar and chives. They can be found in the city of Arcadia.

These are just a few of the choices Angelinos have when looking for some great local pizzas.
