Gym Hands out Free Pizza Every Month

The gym isn't exactly the place where people would go to if they wanted pizza but at the new Schereville based fitness center, people are thriving to work out their best and be an active member which in return gets them a free pie!

The Northwest Indiana health club called Planet Fitness, is a 20,000 square foot gym that aims to target people who aren't usually found in one. The gym is low cost and could be perfect for those who already owns a big gut out from excess pizza as this gym was made for beginners. It is also a "judgement free zone" where no critics could destroy your mood for exercise.

The membership is $10 a month that entitles people for the basic membership and a free pizza once a month! This movement was made as a marketing strategy to keep those regular people attracted to it and remind them that a gym could be a comfortable place even if you are not a fitness enthusiast.

The low-cost chain gym already has 4.5 million members as of today, which probably mean that around 4.5 million people are eating free pies once a month!!

"It's really exploded around the country," said franchise owner Rick

Raimondo "It's really the unbelievable gym equipment, the low prices and the judgment-free zone. It's really trying to create a relaxed environment that caters to the hardcore fitness people."

Aside from free pizza every first Monday, they are also handing out free bagels every second Tuesday. The free food is said to be made for those 90 per cent of the population that don't belong to a gym.

"The majority of the people at Planet Fitness are regular people," Raimondo said. "They don't go to the gym everyday. They're not hardcore aerobic queens. It's relaxed and easy."

Operating hours of the gym is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and 24 hours on weekdays.
