Pizza ranks as the most popular dish in America but its not the healthiest in the food pyramid. Pizza lovers do not need to fret though as pizza is also considered healthy for its toppings and sauce. According to some studies, the healthiest toppings are the following: 

1. Pineapples are filled with vitamin C that is needed to keep the immune system healthy. This vitamin rich fruit also protects healthy cells against free radical ones. WIth vitamins, fiber, thiamine, manganese and more nutrients available in this fruit, this topping goes to the list of healthy choices for your pie. 

2. Green Peppers are also known to be one of the enriching foods found in pizza. Its filled with vitamin C, dietary fiber, Vitamin A, B6 and K. Best trait in this topping is the fact that it has no cholesterol or fat, hence you can eat as much as you like without getting fat! 

3. Artichokes is the top 3 choice for a healthy topping, found mostly abundant in winter. This sunflower specie contains dietary fiber, folate, vitamin K, C and potassium.
