Hot Specialty in US Pizzerias

Popularly, pepperoni is the first thing that comes to mind when pizza is mentioned. Other toppings liks sausages and cauliflower are also entering the trend and chefs all over are now talking about it.

Just like Pizzeria Seven Twelve's famous pies that are all about pulled mozzarella that are combined with various different toppings such as garlic, red pepper flakes, chives, tomatoes and more. In this pie, hand-pulled mozzarella creates a new taste with its freshness, making the pizza eating experience better than ever!

“The customers love it, and hand-pulling the mozzarella doesn’t really take a lot of extra time.” said Chef Stephen Lott from Pizzeria Seven Twelve.

Although hand-pulled mozzarella is perceived as the best element in pizza, those who have tasted Burrata claim that this is better.

Expounding on Burrata, it is an Italian cheese which contains mozzarella and fresh cream inside. Pizzerias make it better by adding olive oil and pepper.

“I first had Burrata in 2002 and lusted after it until I finally had it in my hands. Since then, it has been a love affair that I believe will last a lifetime.” said Brad Kent, executive chef at Olio Pizzeria & Café.

In a week, around 200 Burrata pies are sold from Olio Pizzeria and Cafe.

As the food industry turn to healthy veggies, so does Radius Pizza. This Washington based pizzeria uses cauliflower to top their pies, which wner Matt Culbertson admits to be his favorite.

“When you combine cauliflower, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and roast it in the pizza oven, the cauliflower becomes crispy and produces a nice charred flavor.” said Matt Culbertson of Radius Pizza.
