Just-Eat Continues Expanding Through Online Pizza Funds
In 2001, a company started in Denmark, delivering food in the country. The company established a site that collaborates with restaurants and provides services for it through on-line marketing, on-line ordering system and delivery. The company is called Just-Eat.
Today, the London based delivery company is found in 13 countries, delivering 100,000 meals a day having a total of 20,000 restaurants collaborated with the site. It has an enormous revenue of $500 million a year with over 30 million orders since it started.
Now known to be part of top 100 in Europe’s TechCrunch, top 28 in Sunday Times Tech Track and the largest online take out service worldwide, the company continues to expand through partnerships and investments.
Last Year, the company has rapidly achieved expanding in UK, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada and India. In January, Just-Eat tied up services with Alloresto in France. In March, the company was sustained by a VC funding amounting to $48 million.
This year, Just-Eat sold its 18.5 percent of Online Pizza shares to develop the other 13 markets it owns.
