Longhorns Football Players Off the Pizza Case

The 3 Longhorns football players are finally off the hook! Coach Mack Brown announced that the case of Kenny Vaccaro, Alex Okafor and Barret Matthews who declined to leave a pizza parlor last May was dismissed but faces disciplinary actions within the school.

The three players were found last May 7, arrested for the refusal to leave a pizza restaurant. The pizza incident left them with a charge of ‘failure to obey a lawful order’ as was ordered by a police officer. Though these seniors had a lenient case, the school made sure that the students learn their lessons over the summer through an internal disciplinary measure.

According to Coach Brown, all three are almost complete with the requirements and once fully completed, they will not miss a game this season.

“They will not miss a game, but they’re really paying hard for not being respectful to authority figures,” Brown said. “I think they’ve learned some hard lessons.”

No media coverage was allowed for all three players before classes begin.
