Superheroes All Over Minneapolis Deliver Good Deeds and Pizzas

People say that super heroes are everywhere and they live among us with the little things that we do such as helping the less fortunate, doing good deeds and saving the environment. One pizza business that stands up and lives with that belief is Galactic Pizza. The founder of this pizza parlor, Peter Bonahoom, literally sends out super heroes to save and help people and the environment within their pizza services.

“The superhero thing was the first marketing idea I had for the restaurant," says Bonahoom. "The superheroes signify that we're here to help save the earth and help people, rather than just focus on the bottom line. So it kind of became a symbol."

His mission to go green reflects in his business operations, using electric cars for his deliveries and promoting their own recipes that contain the local farm’s organic vegetables, hormone-free cheese, and pies for vegan eaters that contain dairy-free "mozzarella" and mock duck. Though the electric cars were not such a good idea for long term stable deliveries, Galactic Pizza still strives to continue the mission before the business expands.



"That's a problem I have to solve if I want to continue down the path I'm on," he says. "If someone could figure out how to make a pizza delivery vehicle that's dependable and electric, there would definitely be a market for it."



It became to be a popular hit that the average deliveries were 75 orders a day!

"Their pizza is a little pricier but the quality is better and the whole organic and superhero thing made it totally worth it.," loyal customer Amy Duncan says.

Even their own employees were loyal customers before employment. They became so impressed with the mission and services of Galactic pizza that they decided to be part of the team.

"I enjoyed the whole idea of the restaurant being about sustainability because those are ideals I like to live by in my everyday life," Jake Teschow, the Merman said.

To be part of the team, all the delivery men need are pens, paper and a good sense of humor! As of today, Galactic pizza has 8 super hero delivery drivers namely: Captain Awesome, Captain Organic, Flying Squirrel, General Statement, Italian Scallion, Merman, Pink Thunder, and Weather Man.
