A new CEO has been named for the Pizza Factory. The company currently is represented in 5 states with 110 restaurants. They will keep their headquarters in Oakhurst, their current home.
Mary Jane “MJ” Riva is the CEO and owner. She says, “The food isn’t changing. We didn’t touch a thing on the food.”
The company was started in 1979. At that time it was known as Red Devil Pizza. It later became the Pizza Factory. Franchise options were available starting in 1985.
Riva was (and still is) a franchise owner. In 2012, she bought the corporate headquarters. She has been bringing changes to the company slowly.
“I saw a lot of opportunity from the franchise side of things I wanted to explore with the company and areas I thought we could grow and improve on.”
Some of the changes include a new logo and they are soon adding online ordering. The company hopes to add 20 new restaurants each year.
The cost of a Pizza Factory franchise is $25,000 and an approximated additional $200,000 for a restaurant with new construction.
