New York City third in Poll for Pizza

Your mozzarella filled dish is now given a poll nationwide from people who are fans of travel and leisure magazine. Surprisingly, New York ranked third in this poll to have the best pizza in America and Chicago ranked first and Rhode Island second!

General Manager Dan Taormina of Grimaldi’s has objected from this stating:

“Whoever did this survey doesn’t know anything about pizza. I went to Providence College. So I had my experience with Providence pizza. In Providence when you order pizza they give you a side order of blue cheese. Blue cheese. To cover up the taste,” he said.

New York is already a given to be part of the top winners, knowing that most businesses that are about pizzas starts here.

This poll from Travel and Leisure states that the top two winners are there for a reason and that reason is because of its uniqueness.

Providence “offers an only-in-Providence pie, grilled pizza where the dough is cooked on one side, then flipped before the toppings are added,”

Various pies can be found in Chicago, hence the reason for its winnings in titles such as best pizza places. Although some people don’t agree with this, especially those who are not so fond of deep-dish pie.

“I don’t even consider that pizza,” said Taormina scoffs and added. “That’s a tomato-and-cheese what? I don’t know. Cake?”
