Hollister police arrested two suspects from an assault on a city resident at the Quick Stop market due to the fact that the suspects were hungry for pizza.
The assault took place on April 17th at approximately 1AM. The victim was not seriously injured, but was assaulted by several men with knives and at least one woman. Officer Matt Weiss gathered information on the suspects, then when investigating a gang related shooting he saw one of the suspects from the Quick Stop assault carrying some pizza. He was arrested with no incident. The officer then had the pizza delivered to the suspect’s home by Officer Luis Toribio who discovered a second suspect from the assault. She was arrested as well.
Both suspects were taken to the San Benito County Jail and booked. A third suspect is still being sought.
