Gas prices have made people think of how they do business. Some people see it as a burden, while others, like Michael McClure of Otterbein, Indiana has found a way beat them and do what he loves!
McClure has been delivering pizzas using his motorcycle. He has customized his bike to be able to hold pizzas, salads and drinks. He said that this has afforded to save money while riding to work. “It’s pretty easy to save $10-15 a night just in gas. The bike gets 52 miles a gallon,” he declared.
It is a good thing that McClure works with a very supportive general manager, Joe Whittenborn. “He came in and he just told us what he wanted to do and we told him as long as he put a sign on his bike and get the product there hot, then we wouldn’t have any problems with it,” Whittenborn said.
Due to his ingenuity, McClue has already been featured in Motorcyclists magazine in April of last year.
