Fantasy football owners have a new tool in their arsenal thanks to Pizza Hut. The promotion is called “Trade Bait” and the rules are true to the promotion’s name.
“All fantasy owners have to do is submit their trade offer and briefly explain why they need pizza to help close the deal to firstname.lastname@example.org, and then follow the steps provided by email from Pizza Hut to enter. Each week, Pizza Hut will review submitted trade offers and select winners. Winners will be awarded online promo codes to be dangled as trade bait to their pending offers.”
This is a new level in fantasy football ‘bribery’. Doug Terfehr, Pizza Hut’s PR director says, “We’re inviting fantasy football owners from any league in America to email us their trade offer for the opportunity to add the power of pizza to their deal. To be clear, though, this isn’t an automated program that doles out food to everyone who participates. We will review each and every submission and rule on a case-by-case basis.”
Fantasy footballers may wonder whether their ‘bribe’ will be delivered in a timely manner. Pizza Hut plans to respond to each request within 24 hours.
If your league has rules against bribery, then this promotion is not for you. But if they don’t, you may have some free pizza to help you close your deals. Winners can actually use the promotional funds for any Pizza Hut menu item.
