Redskins Were Once Pizza Servers

Year 2012 was a memorable year to the Redskins and to those whom they served pizza to as this Washington Football team served free pizzas at the last Christmas Dinner of The Dons’ Wood-Fired Pizza.

This event has been made for the fundraiser for Open Hearts. This organization gives vocational training to those African families in need and because The Dons’ has hosted this event, families were helped.

The owner of the pizza joint, Waleed Zarou has hosted this fundraiser and expected players such as Roy Helu and Kedric Golston to serve! Well, the team did at the first 45 minutes of the event that ran from 6 to 8 p.m. Afterwards, free autographs and photographs were allowed in the area.

"The Redskins organization is very supportive," Zarou said and added "People don’t realize in Loudoun County that your business can be used to not only create a local impact but a worldwide one."
