Rival Pie Goes $50 Again

The concept of a $50 pie is completely questionable but Domino's seem to think this is a good idea for a different kind of market.

Offering a Wagyu Duet flavor pizza, the price of the pie is at $50 and aims to attract the upper market pizza chain restaurants. The pie includes ingredients such as wagyu rib fillet, air-dried wagyu bresaola, sliced wagyu sausage and truffle hollandaise.

Now it seems that the pizza is successful as the company is offering it again in a different combination and a cheaper price.

World Class Wagyu is now offered with ingredients such as wagyu rib fillet, air-dried wagyu bresaola, sliced wagyu sausage, smoked rasher bacon, ground beef, mozzarella on a BBQ base, finished with a drizzle of tomato capsicum sauce.

Another uptown beef option is the Wagyu and Truffle Hollandaise which is topped with wagyu rib fillet, camembert slices, cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion and mozzarella and a drizzle of truffle hollandaise.

Although this time around, they don't have specially designed boxes to come along with the wagyu pizza. Instead, they are offering every pie for $19.95 each. Of course, only the best ingredients are given for such a pie and it has a wagyu grade of 6+, something acceptable considering wagyu only has up to 12+.
