Dino Pavoni, owner of drive through pizza restaurant Simply Slices, Inc is planning on offering franchises.
Pavoni has sold pizzas for over 30 years. He believes his restaurant has something different to offer with the majority of its sales being ‘drive-thru’. The restaurant offers both slices and whole pizzas.
While a business student at DePaul University , Pavoni worked at a local pizza place. He was given the opportunity to buy the business in 1984. With help from friends, family and a generous professor, Pavoni was able to purchase the business.
“When I was in college all my business school classmates wanted to be CEOs of big companies someday,” he says. “All I wanted was to make pizza, and make it better than anybody else.”
Pavoni hopes to begin signing franchise deals soon. The upfront franchise fee is $25,000. Potential franchises should be prepared with an investment of $168,000 to $400,000. This would cover equipment, lease and working capital.
