Slices Now Available at Pizza Hut

Is this true? Pizza Hut will now offer their pies by the slice and it will be done in the name of re-branding?

Yes it is! Pizza Hut will start offering their pies by the slice starting Tuesday at York, Neb. and Pawtucket, R.I. The by the slice offer will be their stepping stone towards their rebranding goal that aims to change their 20s and 30s image.

For a couple of bucks or $3, customers will be able to taste their pies within 3 to four minutes (which will be heated first of course) and shall be available in pan or thin pies.

New recipes of pies are also expected of the pizza chain, which will be launched in the Northeast.

In this fast changing industry of pizza, a few strategies here and there are made to compete with Chipotle style Diners. In this case, Pizza Hut is focusing on carry outs to cope with sales that are slightly untamed.

"We're seeing the trends for quick and ready products," said Carrie Walsh, Pizza Hut's chief marketing officer.

The test locations stated above will obtain new ovens for the slices and hopefully, their 6,400 other branches all over U.S. will also have this kind of carry out if seen successful.

Other than the ovens, Nebraska branch will also have newly designed modern restaurants with a salad and pasta station. Meanwhile Rhode Island test branch will only have the slice bar.
